Through the cool months, the sea and air along northern Oman's coast reach their most comfortable for swimming and snorkelling. From the beaches of Qurm and Yiti to the coves of Bandar Khayran, the white sand at Fins and the resorts of Sifah, winter is when the water is inviting and the humidity and summer jellyfish are gone. It is the easiest add-on to a Muscat stay: a quick drive to a beach, a snorkel over a reef, and back for lunch.
