As Sulaif is a partly ruined fortified mud-brick village and fort just outside Ibri in Ad Dhahirah, Oman, one of the region's most atmospheric abandoned settlements, with a hilltop fort overlooking date gardens. Visitors wander the collapsing mud-brick lanes and houses, climb to the fort and photograph the ruins and palm oasis.
