About
Bat, Al-Khutm and Al-Ayn are Bronze Age archaeological sites in the Ad Dhahira region of Oman, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988. The sites preserve one of the world's most complete collections of settlements and necropolises from the 3rd millennium BC, including the distinctive beehive tombs. Al-Ayn is the best preserved of the three, while Bat contains around a hundred graves set within a palm grove.
