Overview
Al Buraimi is the main city and wilayat of Al Buraimi Governorate, Oman, a historic oasis on the border with the UAE city of Al Ain. It is known for its restored forts, Al Khandaq and Al Hillah, and for the aflaj irrigation channels that fed its date gardens for centuries. The twin oasis towns of Al Buraimi and Al Ain sit beneath Jebel Hafeet, which straddles the border.
