Overview

Bawshar is a wilayat in Muscat Governorate, Oman, stretching from the Sea of Oman coast inland toward the hills. It is home to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Royal Opera House Muscat on the Shati Al Qurm side, the beach and park at Qurum, and the Bawshar Sands dunes. The wilayat borders Mutrah to the east and Seeb to the west.
