About
Mohammed Al Ameen Mosque is a modern mosque in Bausher, Muscat, Oman, completed in 2014. Built in contemporary Omani style with marble and extensive hand-carved stonework of Islamic patterns and calligraphy, it features three domes and two minarets and reaches about 62.5 metres in height. Its main prayer hall accommodates around 2,100 worshippers, and its interior is noted for large gold-plated crystal chandeliers.
Visitor Notes
Can be visited free of charge from 9am to 11am for non-Muslims (except Fridays). Dress in long clothing so you are not denied access (+ veil for women)
