Overview
Rakhyut is a wilayat on the remote western coast of Dhofar Governorate, Oman, set where the Qara mountains meet the Arabian Sea. During the khareef monsoon (June to September) the surrounding slopes turn green and seasonal waterfalls run. It is a small fishing settlement with a long history in the frankincense trade and very limited visitor facilities.

Getting there
