Tourist Attraction

Al Mughsail is a long, cliff-backed white-sand beach west of Salalah, famous for the blowholes beneath Al Marneef Cave. At high tide the sea forces water up through holes in the rock shelf, sending jets several metres into the air along a short boardwalk. The wider bay is a relaxed spot for a sunset walk, with dramatic cliffs and the winding Sarfait mountain road climbing away to the west toward the Yemeni border. Frankincense trees grow in the hills nearby.
Blowholes are strongest at high tide in khareef; boardwalk can be slippery with spray.
