The Anti-Gravity Point is a quirky roadside spot on the Taqa-to-Mirbat road east of Salalah, near Tawi Attair, where an optical illusion makes a car left in neutral appear to roll uphill on its own. Locals and visitors stop to test it and film the effect. It is a short, fun detour rather than a destination in itself, easily added to an eastern jebel drive toward Wadi Darbat and Jebel Samhan. The surrounding hills are lush and green through khareef.
Visitor Notes
A novelty stop east of Salalah near Tawi Attair; put the car in neutral on the marked stretch and it seems to roll uphill.
