The Ancient City of Qalhat is a UNESCO-listed medieval port city about 20 km north of Sur in Ash Sharqiyah South, Oman, once the second capital of the Kingdom of Hormuz and abandoned since the 16th century. Visitors walk the 35-hectare archaeological park of ruined walls, houses and necropolis overlooking the sea from the visitor path.
