About
Nakhal Fort, or Qal'at Nakhal, is a pre-Islamic fort in South Al Batinah, Oman, over 1,500 years old and restored in 1990, built to follow the shape of the rock it stands on and overlooking Nakhal's palm oasis and the Western Hajar. Visitors tour the towers, majlis, mosque, well and exhibits, and enjoy panoramic views over the date groves.
