The Royal Opera House Muscat is Oman's premier venue for the performing arts, located in the Shati Al Qurm district of Muscat. Opened in October 2011 with a production of Turandot, it seats about 1,100 people and blends Omani, Islamic and Italianate architecture. It hosts opera, orchestral concerts, ballet and theatre, and includes landscaped gardens, an art centre and a cultural market.
