About
The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the main mosque of Oman, located in Muscat and completed in 2001. It can accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers and is renowned for its 90-metre main minaret, a 50-metre interior dome, a giant Italian-made crystal chandelier and one of the world's largest single-piece hand-woven Persian carpets. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome during designated morning hours, with a modest dress code.
