Sur Al Lawatia is a historic walled quarter of the Lawati merchant community on Muttrah Corniche in Muscat, Oman, long known as Oman's forbidden city. Visitors view the wall, gate and lone surviving watchtower from the corniche, as the enclave interior is closed to outsiders.
