Overview

Izki is a wilayat in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, Oman, often described as one of the oldest settlements in the country, with occupation traces reaching back to the Iron Age. Its historic core is formed by the twin walled quarters of Harat Al Yemen and Harat Al Nizar, watered by Falaj Al Malki, one of the aflaj irrigation systems of the region. The town sits about 138 km from Muscat on the way toward Nizwa.
