About

Al Hoota Cave is a natural limestone cave in Al Hamra in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, at the foot of the Hajar Mountains in Oman. Believed to be the longest cave in the country at around 5 kilometres, it opened to visitors in 2006, and its 860-metre show section is reached by golf cart along a lit path. The cave holds underground lakes that are home to the rare Omani blind cave fish, alongside bats and other species, as well as stalactite and stalagmite formations.
