Nizwa Fort is a 17th-century fort in Nizwa, Ad Dakhiliyah, Oman, built in the 1650s under Imam Sultan bin Saif. It is best known for its massive drum-shaped tower, roughly 30 metres high and 36 metres in diameter, designed to command a 360-degree field of fire. The fort served as the seat of imams and walis and today houses museum exhibits on Omani history, making it one of the country's most visited national monuments.
