About
Nizwa Souq is a traditional marketplace in the centre of Nizwa, Ad Dakhiliyah, Oman, adjacent to Nizwa Fort and the main mosque. Renovated in the 1990s using traditional materials, it is one of Oman's most important souqs and is especially renowned for silver jewellery and khanjar daggers considered among the finest in the country. Stalls also sell dates, fruit and vegetables, spices, pottery, copperware and leather goods, alongside a well-known livestock market.
