About
Mazin Bin Ghadoubah Mosque is a historic mosque in Samail, in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman, widely regarded as the oldest mosque in the country. It was founded around 627 CE by Mazin bin Ghadhuba, said to be the first Omani to embrace Islam during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad. The mosque marks Samail's role as one of the earliest places in the Arabian Peninsula to adopt Islam.
