About
Bahla Oasis is a historic palm-grove settlement in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman, about 40 kilometres from Nizwa. Its date gardens are watered by traditional aflaj channels and sit within a 12-kilometre fortified wall that surrounds the town and the UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort. Bahla has also long been known for its pottery, a craft practised here for centuries.
